technical question...

Which do you think is more popular amongst
the CX singlespeeders & urban fixie hipsters:

130x5 bhc rings, or 110?

I'm gonna be cutting rings up to 48t,
trying to figure out the 130 vs 110 ratio......

njs fixters prefer 144. maybe 130 since sugino makes a ss road crank too (rd I think). cx, I'd say 110 maybe but I could be biased. my 40t is holding up nicely with my lube and go crusted up commuter drivetrain.

110 will cover SS CXers, "normal" fixers and adventure rider types. Hipster fixters won't buy your stuff unless you write NJS on the rings with a Sharpie©. That is, unless they are fixed gear freestylers, then they might order something up if you offer it with a bash ring combo. Of course you'll also need to offer a line of urban street wear to gain their loyalty and that can be a slippery slope you probably don't want to go down.
